Join NRTC



To apply for membership, you must send NRTC the following items:

  1. Resolution (if applicable)
    If required by your Board of Directors, a signed, certified membership resolution—with corporate seal affixed—must be included with your membership application to NRTC.
     
  2. Membership Application Forms
    Once your organization's Board of Directors has approved its resolution authorizing membership in NRTC, please contact your Regional Business Coordinator and request an application form. Membership applications must be accompanied by a copy of your organization's Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
     
  3. Application Fee
    Your application must include the payment of the one-time application fee (unless otherwise specified), which is your organization's equity in NRTC. The application fee structure is as follows:
     
    • Class A (Rural Electric Organizations)
      $1,000 application fee
       
    • Class B (Rural Telephone Cooperatives)
      $1,000 application fee
       
    • Class C (Rural Telephone Commercial Companies)
      $500 application fee
        
  4. General Product Retail Agreement
    If you plan to purchase telecommunications products or services from NRTC, please complete and sign NRTC's general product retail agreement.

NRTC's Board of Directors suspended annual membership fees effective January 1997. NRTC reserves the right to reinstate an annual fees requirement in the future if deemed necessary by the NRTC Board.
